You go into the hut and pull back the matt that covers the dirt floor.  Placing your sister on the floor, you feel for cracks in the dirt or something that might lead to the cellar.
You become frantic as the chants become louder.  Clawing at the dirt, your finger hooks onto something and the dirt on the floor shifts.  You grab the tiny handle with both hands and yank.  A cloud of dust clouds the air as you pull a wooden trap door out of the floor.  You can see the cellar floor about four feet down but don’t spot any steps.  Thinking quickly, you place the door halfway over the opening and lower your sister into the darkness below.  Her frightened whimpers are drowned out by the Aures.
You place the covering over the door then slide under it into the cellar.  Pulling the door into place, you hope that the mat will cover the door so the Aures don’t find it.
Suddenly the sounds of Aures warriors are all around you.  Mimi buries her face into your shirt as you scoot backwards into the cellar.
Suddenly, you wonder if there isn’t another way out.  Oftentimes, people would build a tunnel so that there was more than one way out.  You wonder if you should check and see.  You might be able to get away!  Then again, if you drop something or make noise, they might hear you.  And there might not even be a way out after all.
